SCREW AND POST BINDING - similar to swatch books
Screw post binding is traditionally used for binding photo albums, swatch books, and wine menus, but are also great for binding oversized documents like manuscripts or blueprints, design portfolios, and scrapbooks. Posts are perfect for almost any application where loose pages need to be kept together in replacement of a traditional corner staple for sheet motion versatility.

Spiral binding consists of a cylindrical spiral of wire or plastic that is passed through a row of punched holes at the edge of a notebook or booklet. Spiral binding, as for a notebook or booklet, in which the pages are fastened together by a spiral of wire or plastic that coils through a series of holes punched along one side of each page and the front and back covers.

Comb binding (sometimes referred to as "cerlox or surelox binding") is one of many ways to bind pages together into a book. This method uses round plastic spines with 19 rings (for US Letter size) or 21 rings (for A4 size) and a hole puncher that makes rectangular holes. Method of bookbinding where a flexible adhesive attaches a paper cover to the spine of the assembled signatures is called perfect binding.

is a popular commercial bookbinding method, and is known by a number of different names including twin loop wire, wire-o, double loop wire, double-o, ring wire, and wire bind. A calendar hanger can be inserted during the binding process to use wire-o binding for calendars, wall charts, emergency response charts, and other step charts. Please use the table below to determine the proper size.

SADDLE STITCH BINDING - similar to magazines
Is a very popular book binding method in which folded sheets are stacked together one inside the other and then stapled through the fold line with wire staples. The staples pass through the folded crease from the outside and are clinched between the center most pages. If the pages and cover of a booklet would be made from 11″ x 17″ sheets that are folded in half to 8.5″ x 11″. The folded sheets would be nestled one inside the other and then stapled together along the folded crease or spine. Each 11″ x 17″ sheet folded in half creates four pages of the book. By its nature, Saddle Stitching requires the book’s page count to be in multiples of four.

PERFECT BINDING - similar to soft cover books
Perfect binding puts all the pages together, roughens and flattens the edge, then a flexible adhesive attaches the paper cover to the spine. Paperback novels are one example of perfect binding. Booklets, telephone directories, and some magazines use perfect binding methods. Compared to other binding methods, perfect binding is quite durable and has a low to medium cost. It can be used with publications that are several inches thick.

Each method offers unique benefits, allowing you to choose the right one for your specific needs.

Types of Binding We Offer

  2. Comb Binding: Comb binding uses a series of plastic teeth to hold pages together. This economical option is great for presentations and documents that may require updates or changes over time.

  3. Thermal Binding: In this method, the pages are glued together with a heat-activated adhesive. Thermal binding provides a professional look and is perfect for theses, reports, and other formal documents.

  4. Perfect Binding: This is commonly used for books and magazines. Perfect binding involves gluing the pages to a cover, creating a clean and polished finish.
